Insurance and Financial Policy
Our office accepts most insurance including BCBSNC, MedCost, Cigna Medicare, Medicaid as well as many other carriers.
At the time services are rendered, you will be asked to pay YOUR PORTION which depends on your specific insurance benefits. Our insurance department will attempt to contact your insurance carrier at the time of your visit or the next day to find out what your payment responsibilities are. An example:
BCBS NC: You will be responsible for the SPECIALIST COPAY listed on your insurance card.
MEDICAID: You must present your current Medicaid card at each appointment. If you have CAROLINA ACCESS MEDICAID, you are required to get a referral from your PCP before we can render treatment in order for MEDICAID to cover your charges. You are also responsible for any co-pays at the time services are rendered.
MEDICARE: Medicare will pay a Chiropractic Physician for a SPINAL MANIPULATION ONLY at the rate of 80%. You are responsible for all deductibles, 20% co-insurance and any non-covered expenses at the time serves are rendered. ACUPUNCTURE is a non-covered expense with MEDICARE.
PERSONAL INJURY: We do except PERSONAL INJURY patients (automobile accidents, liability accidents, etc.). If you do not have legal representation at the time of your first visit to our office, we will require a copy of the accident report and any and all insurance information acquired since the accident. (Liability insurance information, adjustors, claim numbers, Med Pay information, and policy numbers)
WORKER’S COMPENSATION: We do accept WORKER’S COMPENSATION claims under specific conditions required by the NC Insurance Commission. Please call for details.
You may pay by cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.
If this financial policy creates a financial hardship for you, please let us know. We have staff in place to assist you in the effort to satisfy your account in a manner that will be acceptable.
